Thor’s ‘Castaway Shrunken Heads’ - Set of Two Original Sculptures - One of a Kind
"The macabre yet fascinating practice of "head shrinking" by tribes of mysterious jungle or desert islands has long been a fascination by Western culture. Movies and books of "headhunters" have greatly elaborated on this subject of curiosity. So I began to explore techniques to create the most realistic and believable replicas that could be viewed inches away, and convince the most discriminating viewer of their authenticity.
Every detail down to the pores and hairline is crafted with great care. Original sculptures were created using multiple references of the real thing, and pushed a bit further to become everything one might imagine came from a true expedition into the deepest, wild, tribal jungles.
I continue to hear stories from current owners of my replicas that they have become featured conversation collectibles in their home bars, studies and art collections. I embarked upon making these initially for my own collection, but have been commissioned over the past 10 -15 years to continue making these available because of their unmatched quality. They are definitely exotic show stoppers, and I am proud to share their intriguing presence with those who wish to acquire such a treasure of curiosity in their private collection."

It took longer than expected and I saw the whoopsies advertised so I know there were some issues. I appreciate than the one I got was perfect in the end.
