Lost's Petrified Puffer Tiki Mug

This pufferfish “discovered” by Thorold Lee Lost, a.k.a. Lost Tiki, on one of his many ocean adventures has been recreated in fine ceramic form by mad scientist and sculptor extraordinaire Thomas “Thor” Thordarson. Thor, armed with Lost’s fanciful descriptions, was able to capture every detail of the "Petrified Puffer”. Recently, after being found amongst some dusty old crates in the basement of the Lost Museum, this Lost artifact has been replicated for all to enjoy.

Limited Edition / Limited Time Pre-Order - while not a numbered edition, we will only be producing a certain amount and will close the pre-orders after we reach our pre-order goal.
This mug holds about 20oz (varies slightly mug to mug), and is about 4 inches tall, 7.5 inches long, and 4.5 inches wide.

Note about import production: These mugs are being produced with one of our tried and tested production partners. All mugs will have passed through multiple rounds of quality control before being shipped out.
These are ceramic mugs intended for cold or room temperature beverages only.
All of our ceramics are handmade. Each mug varies slightly and is unique, and is not the exact mug photographed here, although we try for it to be as identical as possible when produced by hand. During ceramic production sometimes there can be small variations with glaze, color, texture, cleanup, etc.
We guarantee mugs not to arrive with structural cracks or chips, and will replace them at our expense if they arrive to you in this condition.
Only one mug included.
While technically this can be put in a dishwasher, we only recommend hand washing as this is a functional piece of art.

What are “Whoopsies”?

This only applies to those who select 'Whoopsies' as an option when ordering.

During production, sometimes 'Whoopsies!' happen. These mugs we still consider sellable and usable, but we’ve previously held them back from shipping for often very small and obscure reasons that most people wouldn’t notice/care about. While all of our mugs are hand made and unique, some are a little more unique than others. We’ve had many people inquire about mugs that we’ve not had in-stock for awhile, so we thought this could be a good way to get some mugs that we no longer produce into the hands of those who really want them, and to make room on our shelves for new mugs that we’ve got in the works.

Each of these tiki mugs will have one or more of these, or other, small issues: glaze somewhere unintended, tiny black dots from particles in the kiln, glaze smudges, superficial cracks that don’t affect the integrity of the mug, variation in color or glaze texture, cleanup issues, etc. As each mugs issues vary and are unique, they aren’t reflected in pictures here. Mugs are being sold in as-is condition. While we reserve the right to permanently mark mugs on bottom, out of sight, to indicate they're part of this group, this set will not be marked. Exchanges for alternate 'Whoopsie!' mugs will be allowed if buyer pays shipping costs. Mugs will not arrive cracked (excludes superficial ‘cracks’).

Lost's petrified puffer

Absolutely dazzled by this mug. Simply the most beautiful puffer I have ever seen! Hats off to Thor on this awesome work of useable art! Can't wait to try the drink recipe that came with it!!

Fantastic detail and a unique mug!

We love this mug - just got it recently and the detail does not disappoint! The variety of colors is fantastic and it impressed other Tiki friends who saw it when compared to other pufferfish mugs they've seen.

I like that recipes are included with the various mugs, though many of the recent recipes we've gotten are all for spirits other than rum which feels a bit less Tiki than we'd expect.

The Mermaid Lounge

I was very excited when the Lost's Petrified Puffer Mug arrived. The Craftsmanship was impressive and will make a very welcomed addition to our Tiki Bar (The Mermaid Lounge). I can't wait for my wife to open it.
Our Tiki Bar was founded in 2016 and is filled with unique items from all of our travels as well as gifts from friends from their travels. We have a section where we have the most unique TIKI Mugs on display and this one will find its place with them.

Dark Expedition

Well Jeff, you did it again. Another amasing design and one I just want to wear every day. At some point though this this shirt will have to go in the laundry. My wife tells me that some point was yesterday.

Wonderful design. The cotton shirt is high quality. Very soft. Great colors. Of course, the art work is awesome, which is why I bought the shirt. Love it.

What's the whoopsie?

Ordered this one as a whoopsie, but cannot find any reason for it to have marked as such. The rum barrel is outstanding and I am looking forward to filling it with rum.
